I always wondered if creativity can be derived al the way to your DNA, or is it all epigenetics? Creativity has always been a part of my family as far as I remember. This video of Marc leBlanc of the American branch of my family (they emigrated for beeing persecuted for beeing Protestant under the Catholic king) confirms my suspiscions.

p.s. Most members of that branch of the family are actors too!

Got a lot of reactions from friends in France about how my house in Germany looks like; normally I ask them: "why don't you come over and see for yourself".
But after being all typically instistant as most French are, I finally caved in and here are the first pictures.

I'ts been a rough time lately, with the death of my beloved grandmother.
When I heard the news I was in Geneva for an artshow. I had loads of troubles committing myself to my work because I had the feeling that I should create new work.
Which I eventually did, I made a 5 x 7 meter abstract painting.
I looked at the work today since it arrived back from Switzerland, and concluded the work is absolute crap.
I'll never show it again...

I get alot of chain-mails which you should forward for a noble cause, but I never really trust these mail, because although they are send to you via a good friend; You really never know the person behind it who first started this.

Hi All,

The Brazilian congress is now voting on a project that will reduce the Amazon forest to 50% of its size. It will take 1 MINUTE to read this, but PLEASE put your names on the list and forward this on as instructed below.

First, some facts:

The Amazon rainforest is responsible for the generation of 20% of the oxygen that we on this earth breathe, 30% of the world's freshwater is contained within the Amazon basin. 60% of the cancer-fighting drugs used today are derived from plants that can only be found within the Amazon rainforest. The area to be forested is 4 times the size of Portugal and would be mainly used for agriculture and pastures for livestock.

All the wood is to be sold to international markets in the form of wood chips, by large multinational companies.

The truth is that the soil in the Amazon forest is useless without the forest itself. Its quality is very acidic and the region is prone to constant floods. At this time more than 160,000 square kilometres deforested with the same purpose are abandoned and in the process of becoming deserts, meaning that this proposal is in the short-term interests of a few, and in the long term interests of none.

The second portrait in the 'msn-portrait' series is this drawing I made of Maurizio (Cattelan) while he was drinking his favourite drink, a cup of green tea with honey. (He learned to acquire such taste from Joseph (Beuys)). He had his webcam on but the framerate was to slow, so I kept seeing him blurry and shocking... What really depicts Maurizio again offcourse...

People who make money out of others fortunes (and try to monopolize that), will get rich even before the producers of that the fortune do so.
